What’s included in an Xplore BoX subscription?
An Xplore BoX subscription is for kids who like to explore, discover, build and create new things. Every month, you’ll receive a boX that includes activities, projects, kits, toys and/or goodies that will engage and encourage kids in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). More specifically, the boX can include items such as kits to build rockets, cars, robots, books, gadgets, and games. Xplore BoXes are theme-based meaning each month will cover one of various STEM fields such as robotics, outer space, and cars. The boXes are meant to expand a child’s creativity and imagination through outdoor and indoor projects fun for both boys and girls.
How does the subscription work?
There are two options to choose from at Xplore BoX.
(1) Month-to-Month Subscription
A STEM-filled boX addressed to your child will arrive on your doorstep each month for $29.95 per month. You will be billed monthly and can cancel 100% hassle-free any time.
(2) Prepaid 3, 6, or 12 Month Subscription
A STEM-filled boX addressed to your child will arrive on your doorstep for the number of months you purchase (three, six or twelve). At the time of subscription you will be billed for the entire subscription period. Your subscription renews automatically meaning that at the end of the selected time period you will be billed once again. For example, if you choose the three-month subscription you will be billed $89.85. After the initial three-month subscription period, the subscription will automatically be renewed and you will be charged for the next three-month of boxes.
Can children share a subscription?
At this time, one Xplore BoX is filled with enough material for one participant. A fun option would be to encourage kids to work together on the activities. If you’d like one boX to arrive in multiple names, simply let us know in the notes section upon checkout.
Is Xplore BoX appropriate for children of all ages?
Our boXes are designed for children ages 8 and above. We handpick the various activities, toys and goodies that go into our boXes to ensure children across the age range will enjoy the experience. In some cases, a younger child may need the help of an adult whereas an older child may be able to independently complete the activity. Our hope is that children can explore and enjoy each unique monthly boX by the use of their own creativity and imagination. We’ve had success with kids younger than eight and adults enjoying the activities. (Trust us, we love the boXes ourselves! All it takes is one rocket launch or rocket building session to realize the amount of fun in STEM.)
Can younger kids outside of recommended age of 8 and above also join?
Unfortunately, children under three (3) should never be given Xplore BoX projects due to some materials posing choking hazards or other safety threats. However, many children under 8 will enjoy the activities and goodies. For the youngsters, an adult may have to assist with reading directions, supervising, and helping complete certain projects. Creativity and imagination are central to Xplore BoX’s mission so older kids and even adults can enjoy!
Yes, please email us at support@xplorebox.com and let us know that you would like to skip a month. We will skip the month and reactivate your subscription accordingly. Be sure to contact us by your monthly renewal date to avoid being billed for the next boX.
What if there’s a problem with my order?

ACCOUNT & BILLING
For the prepaid 3, 6, or 12-month subscriptions, your credit card will be charged the full amount at the time of purchase. Month-to-month subscriptions will be charged the monthly cost when you first purchase a subscription, and then every 30 or 31 days (depending on the month) for as long as you remain subscribed.
Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled 100% hassle-free at any time by login into your account cancelling the subscription. Please cancel by your monthly renewal date to avoid getting billed and shipped the next month’s boX. Should you have any questions contact us at support@xplorebox.com
Unfortunately, prepaid subscriptions and gifts cannot be canceled or refunded. However, we will happily transfer the subscription to another recipient. Please contact us at support@xplorebox.com with the new recipient’s name and shipping address.
Can I return one of the Xplore BoXes?
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns. We work hard to ensure your child enjoys all aspects of Xplore BoX. If you are unhappy with one of your boXes, we’d love to hear about it. Please contact us at hello@xplorebox.com as we strive to continuously improve your experience.
How do I change the address throughout the life of my subscription?
Easy! Tell us! Log in to your account and input the new shipping address and we’ll be notified! Since we begin preparations for shipment on the first of the month, the address must be updated no later than the last day of the prior month.
Is my credit card and personal information secure?
Absolutely. All payment and sensitive information on Xplore BoX is protected with an encrypted Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Our site is PCI Compliant and is rigorously tested to ensure the upmost security.
Our site also provides an option to pay using PayPal. Should you choose to use PayPal, the secure payment information can be found on their website.
SHIPPING
When can I expect my first shipment?
If you sign up by the 4th of the month, we ship your boX around the 15th of every month with an estimated 3-5 business days for delivery. If you sign up between the 5th and 17th of the month, your first box will ship around the 22nd of that month. For example, if you sign up by the 4th of March, your first boX will ship around March 15th. If you sign up after the 5th of March but before March 17th, your first boX will ship around March 22nd. Through this shipping method, we ensure your child receives a boX full of exciting and engaging toys as soon as possible.
All Xplore BoXes ship via USPS.
Yes. You will receive a tracking number once your order has shipped and can track the status of your shipments in your “My Account” page.
Does Xplore BoX ship internationally?
At this time (unfortunately), we only ship in the United States (including Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Alaska, and APO addresses). However, we hope to be shipping internationally soon. When this happens, we will make sure those on mailing list are the first to know!
What if one of the products is broken or damaged?
We strive to ensure top quality in every boX. If you receive a broken or damaged item, please contact us ASAP at support@xplorebox.com and we’ll take care of it!

How do I send an Xplore BoX subscription as a gift?
If you would like to give an Xplore BoX subscription as a gift, please select the desired subscription and proceed with the checkout process. You’ll then fill out your basic info, billing address, the recipient’s name and mailing address, and an optional short note that we’ll include in their first boX. From the checkout page select the “Gift” option as the Order Type.
Unfortunately, we do not offer gift-wrapping, but our boXes arrive in our signature boX and items are wrapped nicely.
Do you have anything I can give to the recipient while they wait for their first boX?
Of course! If you’d like to inform your recipient of their new membership to Xplore BoX, please download one of our gift cards to hand in person or send by email!
